Welcome to my blog! My name is Michael “Mike” Giuffrida and I’m studying at the University of Connecticut to become a sports agent. Most sports fans aspire to become athletes, coaches, physical therapists, or team managers but not me. I’ve always been realistic about my chances of becoming a pro athlete, hence after years of weighing my options, I came to the decision that becoming a sports agent offers the right balance between high pay and a fulfilling career for me.
I’ve always known I wanted to be involved in sports, in one way or another. One of my fondest memories was in fifth grade when my dad managed to get us tickets to the Super Bowl. The funny thing is, I wasn’t into football like he was, but my opinion of the sport changed after seeing Tom Brady in action. Sports has been such a huge part of my life that I can’t imagine not being able to enjoy it.
The reason why I chose to become a sports agent didn’t dawn on me right away though. I imagined I would be working your typical office job, except I’d take my chances and apply at companies that poured huge money into sports like Gatorade or Nike. Well, that’s my back up plan if this whole being a sports agent thing doesn’t work out. Don’t get me wrong though; I’m confident I can make it. My goal is to represent the best athletes in the world.
Please join me here on my blog, where I plan to talk about a day in the life of a college student at University of Connecticut, the latest news about sports, free agency, the work of a sports agent, and other related topics.
Thanks again for dropping by! Once again, I’m Michael “Mike” Giuffrida. Feel free to call me whatever you’d like.
See you around!
